The Albino Excuse
The Albino Excuse formed in the welshpool area in June/July 2010, with singer and guitarist Kai Batoctoy, guitarist/bassist Matt Lewis, and drummer Rhys Graham.
Our main influences to begin with were Biffy Clyro, Nirvana and Reuben, and we began by covering their songs. In August 2010 Rhys switched instruments to guitar, and we added Dan Pugh to the band to play drums.
In November 2010 we added Will Mead to play bass to fill out the line-up. At this point we started to get more gigs. As we progressed and began to write our own material, we've developed a dirty, grungy punk-rock sound, with some metal, progressive, and even the odd pop moment thrown in.
We're based in the welshpool area, but we're interested in gigging as far and wide as we can in the near future. Our interests, apart from the usual sex, drugs and rock n' roll, are skateboarding, banter, and drinking tea, and our aim as a band is to lay waste to everything in our path.
