It all started when Katy Caldecott met Toby Carter back in 2007 in the Shropshire countryside. They both played acoustic guitars, sang intricate harmonies with each other and most importantly, were determined to create a rich distinctive sound. An albums worth of original acoustic songs were recorded and released to critical (local) acclaim.
In 2009, Katy and Toby plugged in their electric guitars and added a hard-hitting New Yorker drummer in exile called Tosh. This meant they were able to create a dynamic juxtaposition to the folky acoustic blues sound of their first album.
A three-track demo was recorded to capture the re-worked and newly written songs with the new line-up. Creating and developing new material is the bands favourite past time, while they jump on most opportunities to play in front of new audiences both acoustically and at full volume electric.
